Three years of warranty on the whole system, and a service team that still answers years later. Here is exactly what is covered, what is not, and how long each part really lasts.
Ingerclima gives a three-year warranty on the whole system: AISI 316L stainless steel structure, shaft, motor, control panel, slats and installation. It is not a bundle of separate supplier warranties: the same team that manufactured the cover in Torrijos and fitted it at your pool is the one that answers. After the warranty we remain its service department, with spare parts made in Spain.
An automatic cover is a machine that moves twice a day, outdoors, over water treated with chlorine or salt, for fifteen years. On fitting day almost all of them work. The difference shows up in the third summer, when a motor has to be changed or a slat replaced, and the question is no longer who sold it to you but who comes to fix it and how long the part takes to arrive.
That is why this has a page of its own. We want you to compare warranty and after-sales with the same attention you give to the slat and the motor.
Everything that leaves our factory and everything our team installs.
| Component | What the warranty covers | Expected service life |
|---|---|---|
| Structure, shaft and brackets AISI 316L stainless steel |
Material, welding, deformation or corrosion of the stainless steel | Over 15 years |
| Slats PVC or polycarbonate |
Manufacturing, extrusion or slat-to-slat joint defects | 10 to 15 years |
| Motor Submerged or visible, 230 V |
Motor, gearbox and limit-switch failure | 10 to 15 years |
| Control panel and remote | Electronic failure of the panel and the remote control | 10 years |
| Installation | Assembly, alignment, anchors and commissioning | — |
The service life shown is what we see across our own installations since 2005, not a marketing promise. It depends a great deal on sun exposure, on how the water is treated and on whether the cover is closed over a clean pool or over leaves.
We say it before signing, not after the breakdown. Five things:
If you choose a submerged shaft, the pit is built by your contractor using the dimensions we provide in writing beforehand. We answer for the cover that goes inside it, not for the concrete.
The protected line beside the pool is left by your electrician. If it arrives badly protected and burns the control panel, that is not a manufacturing fault.
The cover has no alarm and no obstacle sensors. Operating it with something on top — a chair, a ladder, ice — or pulling the slats by hand can damage the mechanism, and that damage is not covered.
Water kept outside normal parameters, with sustained excess chlorine or salt, attacks any material. Water maintenance is the owner's responsibility.
Hail, falling branches, vandalism or a knock from garden machinery. Home insurance usually covers that; we provide the technical report your insurer asks for.
By phone, by email or by sending a ten-second video on WhatsApp. The video solves half the diagnoses without us moving: you can hear whether the motor starts and see where the cover stops.
We tell apart motor, limit switch, control panel, remote or slat. Having built the cover, we know what is inside it without opening it blind.
Motors, panels, shafts, end caps and slats are made by us or held in stock in Spain. We do not depend on a container arriving from abroad.
With the part in stock, the job is usually solved in a single visit. If the part has to be made to measure — a slat, for instance — we give you the lead time in writing before starting.
We work out of Torrijos (Toledo), Aravaca (Madrid) and San Pedro de Alcántara (Marbella), which is where most of our installations are. For the rest of Spain we arrange the journey when we give the diagnosis.
A significant part of our after-sales work is covers fitted by another company that were left without a service department. Because we build the mechanisms ourselves we know the ones on the market, and in most cases it is solved with a compatible part. That repair carries its own warranty on the replaced part and the labour.
Our covers are manufactured in accordance with the French NF P90-308 standard, the European reference for safety covers on private pools and the one that sets the resistance and opening tests. A slatted cover reduces the risk, but it does not replace adult supervision: no cover does, and we would rather say so.
Three years on the whole system: AISI 316L stainless steel structure, shaft, motor, control panel, slats and the installation itself. It is a single manufacturer's warranty, not a bundle of separate supplier warranties, and the same team that built and fitted the cover is the one that answers.
The structure, shaft, brackets and fittings are AISI 316L stainless steel and last more than fifteen years. The slats last ten to fifteen years depending on the material and sun exposure, and they are replaced without touching the rest of the cover, so the second time the cost is the slats alone.
We are still the cover's service department. We manufacture in Spain and keep our own stock of motors, control panels, shafts and slats, so we do not depend on imports to get a part. If the part is in stock, the job is usually solved in a single visit.
Yes. As manufacturers we know the mechanisms on the market and we repair automatic slatted covers of any brand, including those installed by someone else. That repair carries its own warranty on the replaced part and the labour.
No. The warranty covers the cover and its installation. The civil works for the pit when you choose a submerged shaft are excluded — your builder carries them out using the dimensions we provide in writing — as are the protected electrical supply beside the pool and the pool water treatment.
