We make and fit automatic slatted covers across the whole municipality: the Virgen del Carmen seafront, La Cala del Moral, Cotomar, Los Rubios and the villas around Añoreta Golf. Our own Costa del Sol crew measures and fits — no subcontractors, no building work in the pool shell.
Rincón de la Victoria is not the western Costa del Sol. A pool here lives with the terral, with the levante pushing swell against the cliffs of El Cantal, and with seven kilometres of beach that puts fine dark sand into any open water.
We have made automatic slatted covers since 2005, with more than 5,000 installations and our own factory in Torrijos, Toledo. But the crew that measures, fits and comes back if anything needs adjusting works from our branch in San Pedro de Alcántara, under an hour away on the AP-7 and A-7. Write to us in English and you will be answered in English.
Every cover is motorised, running on 230 V, and the whole structure is AISI 316L stainless steel, the grade used in marine environments. Our covers are built to NF P90-308, the European safety standard, and we work the same way on an existing pool in Cotomar as on a new build in Torre de Benagalbón.
The maker, not a middleman. We design, manufacture and fit the cover ourselves, so you deal directly with the people who build it: no commission-based agents, no subcontracted fitters, no mark-up for passing the job on. One company to call, not three.
We come from San Pedro, not from Toledo. Our branch in San Pedro de Alcántara is about 90 kilometres away, so we can measure midweek, fit with our own crew and settle a motor adjustment without waiting for a van from Toledo.
Safety built to NF P90-308. Closed, a slatted cover is a physical barrier: the slats form a continuous surface that keeps children, visiting grandchildren and pets out of the water.
We cover the four centres of the municipality and carry on inland into the Axarquía. In the town: the Virgen del Carmen seafront, the streets around the Torre de Bezmiliana, the Cotomar urbanisation and the high slopes above the N-340. On the coast: La Cala del Moral, El Cantal, the Vía Verde tunnels and the Cueva del Tesoro. To the east: Torre de Benagalbón, Añoreta Golf, Los Rubios and Playa Dorada, Benagalbón village and the new sector by the Arroyo Santillán. We also work in eastern Málaga, Totalán, Moclinejo, Macharaviaya and Vélez-Málaga.
In the 29730 postcode the N-340 splits in two as it reaches the municipality, and plenty of streets in La Cala del Moral and Benagalbón village will not take a lorry. Narrow sloping access and gated urbanisations are the norm, so we measure on site, check the entrance width and plan how the shaft reaches the pool.
If access means a barrier, a gate code, a community permit or a key held by a neighbour or manager, tell us when we book the visit.
Rincón de la Victoria has a statistic no other town on this coast can claim: during terral episodes it has recorded the highest temperature in Spain, and in October rather than high summer. That dry inland wind drives evaporation just when the pool is still in use; a closed cover stops the loss and the constant topping up.
The levante is the other wind. On this eastern stretch it pushes swell against the cliffs of El Cantal and salts everything within a hundred metres of the water. On the Virgen del Carmen promenade, in Los Rubios or at La Cala del Moral that salt eats ordinary ironmongery; hence AISI 316L for the shaft, the supports and every fixing. Salt chlorination, common here, only adds to it.
Then there is what the wind carries: fine dark sand off those seven kilometres of beach, pine and palm litter on the plots at Añoreta Golf. Closed, the cover holds it all on top of the slats, where a hose deals with it.
PVC, in white, grey, blue or sand, is the usual family choice here. Solar polycarbonate suits the villas at Torre de Benagalbón and Añoreta stretching the season on autumn sun, lifting the water by up to 8 °C with nothing running; transparent polycarbonate is for when appearance matters most. The shaft sits above the water on the coping, visible or in a housing, or submerged in its pit on a pool still being built.
Many pools here belong to owners who are not in Rincón de la Victoria all year, and the expensive pool is the uncovered one left to itself between visits: water going to the terral, sand working into the filter, chemistry chasing a surface open to the sun for weeks.
Closed, the cover holds the water level and keeps the dirt outside: cut evaporation by 70 to 80 per cent and the weekly top-up stops being somebody's job. Upkeep is simple enough for whoever is here to manage — rinse the slats with fresh water after a levante storm, check the supports once a year.
And because we build the cover ourselves, an after-sales call comes back to the people who made it, with original spare parts, answered by the crew in San Pedro de Alcántara.
The sun is with you most of the year here, but an uncovered pool still cools overnight, which is why owners wanting a longer season end up looking at a heat pump.
Worth knowing before choosing equipment: evaporation is the biggest route by which a pool loses heat, and an automatic slatted cover reduces it by 70 to 80 per cent. Heating consumption falls by 50 to 60 per cent with the cover in place. Without one, the heat pump spends the night replacing what evaporates.
The combination that works best here is a solar polycarbonate cover, adding up to 8 °C during the day without consuming anything, with the heating sized afterwards, once losses are under control.
Two situations come up again and again around Rincón de la Victoria. The first is the existing family pool, where the shaft rests above the water on the coping and the job is finished in a day. The second is the pool still under construction, where the pit for a submerged shaft is left before the concrete goes in.
The photographs show both, in PVC and polycarbonate. More than 5,000 covers in over twenty years means few pool geometries here are new to us, and every one is made to measure in Torrijos.
We manufacture in our own workshop in Torrijos, Toledo, with structure and fittings in AISI 316L stainless steel, and install with our own crew.
For a practice, a contractor or a developer the decision that matters is timing. A submerged shaft has to be allowed for in the shell before concreting; if the cover only appears at the end of the build it is resolved with a visible shaft on the coping. On the plots at Añoreta and in the new sector by the Arroyo Santillán, that call is far easier made at design stage.
If the project is in Rincón de la Victoria and the client is yours, the relationship stays with you. We can supply a slat comparison document for specification work. Call +34 91 631 59 40.

We manufacture in our own workshop in Torrijos (Toledo), with the structure and all fittings in 316L stainless steel, and we carry out the installation ourselves. For a practice, a main contractor or a developer, the decision that really matters is taken at design stage: a recess for the submerged shaft has to be allowed for in the pool shell before any concrete is poured, whereas an automatic slatted cover brought in at the end of the build is normally resolved with a visible shaft resting on the coping. If the project is in Rincón de la Victoria and the client is yours, the relationship stays with you.
