We make and fit automatic slatted pool covers across the Golf Valley: Aloha, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, La Cerquilla and El Dorado. Our own team works out of San Pedro de Alcántara, four kilometres away, so whoever measures your pool is who fits it and who comes back.
Nueva Andalucía is the largest district in Marbella: a valley that starts behind Puerto Banús and climbs towards the AP-7, hemmed in by the Guadaiza, which separates it from San Pedro de Alcántara, and the Río Verde, which divides it from the Golden Mile. Inside sit three championship courses, Aloha, Las Brisas and Los Naranjos, the Magna Marbella layout, and large-plot villa urbanisations such as La Cerquilla, El Dorado and La Dama de Noche.
We are Ingerclima: we have designed, built and fitted automatic slatted pool covers since 2005, more than 5,000 of them, all built to the NF P90-308 safety standard. The factory is our own, in Torrijos (Toledo); our coastal branch is in San Pedro de Alcántara, on the other side of the Guadaiza.
If you only spend part of the year in Spain, that second address matters more than it sounds. The person who measures your pool, the team who fit it and the person who comes back a season later all work for us, and you deal with the manufacturer directly, in English.
A manufacturer, not a middleman. We design, build and install the cover ourselves. No agents on commission, no subcontracted fitters, no mark-up for passing your order along a chain. Years from now, when a slat or a motor needs replacing, the part comes from the company that made your cover.
Our own team four kilometres away. Our coastal branch is on Calle Jorge Guillén in San Pedro de Alcántara, roughly four kilometres by road from the centre of Nueva Andalucía, under ten minutes once you have crossed the Guadaiza. Nobody is sent down from Toledo for the day. If you are away when we come, we can work with your keyholder, property manager or community concierge and report back with photographs.
Safety built to NF P90-308. Closed, a slatted cover is a physical barrier: a small child who steps onto it does not go through. Ours are built to NF P90-308, the European reference for pool safety covers. For a holiday home, or a villa that is let out while you are away, the pool is shut and locked whenever nobody is watching.
We cover the whole district, from Centro Plaza to the golf-frontage villas and the terraces on the slopes that look across to La Concha. Villas, townhouses and residents' associations with a communal pool are all routine work. In the Golf Valley we install regularly in Aloha, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and La Cerquilla; towards Puerto Banús, in El Dorado, La Alzambra, La Dama de Noche and Aloha Pueblo. Around the district we also work in Puerto Banús, San Pedro de Alcántara, the Golden Mile and central Marbella, and we travel on to Benahavís, Istán, Ojén and Estepona.
Much of Nueva Andalucía (postcode 29660) is made up of gated communities with a concierge and controlled access, and a great many villas open onto an internal street or straight onto a fairway. Before the fitting day we agree the time, the lorry's entrance and the unloading point with the community administrator, and we work without blocking your neighbours' access. If your plot has a narrow entrance or a drop down to the pool, say so when you ask for the quote.
Nueva Andalucía is not on the beach, but it does not escape the sea either. The valley opens south and the breeze comes up from Puerto Banús carrying salt aerosol, which settles on fittings, guide rails and screws even if your villa sits high up beside Aloha. Every structure we build for the coast is therefore AISI 316L stainless steel, the marine grade, not the grade that suffices inland.
Then there is the sun. With long summers and very many daylight hours, an uncovered pool loses water every day, and the chlorine and stabiliser go with it. Closed, the cover cuts evaporation by 70-80% and brings chemical consumption down with it. In a province that has spent years watching its reservoir levels, that is no longer a detail.
And there is the mowing. Cuttings from Las Brisas or Los Naranjos travel on the poniente, the fine bunker sand goes just as far, and the pines along the fairways drop cones and pollen all spring. A pool on a golf frontage gets far dirtier than one in the town centre, and with the cover closed the filter stops fighting the course.
Nights in the valley cool further than the day suggests: the air drops off the sierras of Istán and Benahavís, and the water loses before dawn what it gained in the afternoon. A slatted cover works as insulation and hands back a mild swim in the morning. As for the slat, in the villas of La Cerquilla and Aloha transparent polycarbonate is a frequent choice, since it all but disappears over the water. Solar polycarbonate is the one to pick to gain temperature from that sun, up to 8 °C with nothing consumed, while PVC, in white, grey, blue or sand, stays the most robust and best-balanced slat.
Most of what we fit between Estepona and Marbella is a retrofit on a pool built decades ago, and our Costa del Sol photographs show exactly that: large-plot villas, an existing coping, and a visible shaft sitting on it with or without a box.

The season here is long to begin with, so the question is rarely whether to heat the pool but what it costs to keep it warm. That depends less on the equipment than on what happens to the water overnight.
A pool loses heat mainly through evaporation: every litre that evaporates carries away the heat it took to evaporate it, and it does so in the small hours, when the air is colder and drier than the water. An automatic slatted cover closes the surface completely and cuts that evaporation by 70-80%. Against the running cost of a heat pump the saving sits between 50% and 60%, so heating a pool without a cover costs roughly twice as much.
So the order we recommend here is cover first, equipment afterwards: with the surface closed, the heat pump can be sized smaller, starts up less often and lasts longer. With solar polycarbonate slats the pool gains up to 8 °C during the day without consuming anything.
