Automatic Pool Covers in Marbella

Motorised slatted covers made in our own workshop and fitted by our own team. With a base in San Pedro de Alcántara, we look after villas across the Golden Mile, Nueva Andalucía and East Marbella — no middlemen, no long waits.

Pool covers built in Spain and fitted across Marbella

Ingerclima has manufactured automatic pool covers since 2005, with more than 5,000 installations and over 20 years in the trade. Every cover is a motorised slatted roller that floats on the surface of the water — there is no manual version. Because we both build and install, a homeowner in Sierra Blanca or Elviria deals with the same company from the first measurement to the final commissioning. We produce each cover to size in our workshop in Torrijos (Toledo) and our own fitters travel down to Marbella from our base in San Pedro de Alcántara, so quality control never passes through a reseller.

Why choose Ingerclima

A base 10 minutes from Puerto Banús

Our San Pedro de Alcántara base means our team is genuinely local to Marbella. Site visits, measuring and after-sales calls to Nueva Andalucía, the Golden Mile or Guadalmina do not depend on a subcontractor's calendar — we come ourselves.

One company, no intermediaries

We are the manufacturer and the installer. That keeps the price honest, shortens the timeline and means a single point of contact if you ever have a query — useful for the many non-resident and second-home owners around Marbella who manage their villa from abroad.

Short, predictable timelines

We build each cover in roughly 4 to 6 weeks and complete the on-site installation in just 1 to 2 days. For a villa being readied before the summer season or a holiday let between bookings, that predictability matters as much as the finish.

Where we install around Marbella

From the classic villas of the Golden Mile to the golf estates of Nueva Andalucía and the pine-shaded plots of East Marbella, we cover the whole municipality and the neighbouring towns. These are some of the areas we regularly work in:

Which slat suits the Marbella climate?

Marbella enjoys one of the mildest climates on the Mediterranean coast, with long warm summers, gentle winters and generous sunshine. In practice the natural bathing season runs from around June to October, when sea temperatures sit near 22–23°C, while the sheltered microclimate keeps daytime winter temperatures comfortable. An automatic cover works with that climate rather than against it: it keeps the pool clean between swims, cuts evaporation under the strong summer sun, and holds in warmth once the air begins to cool in the shoulder months.

PVC slats are the robust, cost-effective choice and our most popular option. They stand up well to intense summer heat and to everyday debris — the pine needles and dust common on the wooded plots of Elviria, Las Chapas and Cabopino — while providing a solid safety surface and a clean, discreet finish that suits most villa pools.

Solar polycarbonate slats are worth considering if you want to make the most of Marbella's long season. They capture sunlight and transfer heat into the water, warming the pool by a few degrees and letting you comfortably extend swimming well into spring and autumn — a real advantage on the days when the sea has cooled but the sun is still out.

Transparent polycarbonate slats are the design-led option, favoured on high-specification homes around Sierra Blanca and the Golden Mile where the pool is a visual centrepiece. They keep the water surface visible while delivering the same automatic convenience, evaporation control and everyday protection as the other slats.

Frequently asked questions

Do you actually come to Marbella, or work through a local dealer?

We come ourselves. Ingerclima has a base in San Pedro de Alcántara, and our own fitters — not a subcontractor — carry out the measuring and installation. The cover is manufactured to size in our Torrijos workshop, which typically takes 4 to 6 weeks, and the on-site fitting is completed in 1 to 2 days.

Which type of cover is best for a pool in Marbella?

It depends on your priority. PVC is the robust, best-value all-rounder for most Marbella villas. If you want to lengthen the season, solar polycarbonate warms the water and lets you swim comfortably in spring and autumn. Transparent polycarbonate is the choice when the look of the pool matters most. We will advise on the right slat when we see the pool.

What about maintenance and servicing once it's installed?

All our covers are motorised and backed by our own in-house technical service. Because we manufacture the covers ourselves, we hold the parts and know the mechanism inside out, so servicing or a repair is handled directly by us rather than routed through a third party — convenient for owners who are away for part of the year.
