Benahavís sits between the mountains and the sea, with the mild Mediterranean climate typical of the Costa del Sol: gentle winters and long summers. The pool is usable for much of the year here, and an automatic cover stretches that season further still — which is the main reason most owners fit one.

Altitude changes what lands in the water. High up, at Monte Mayor or El Herrojo, hundreds of metres above the sea, you get holm-oak leaves, pollen and the dust carried on the Poniente wind. Where looks come first, very common in La Zagaleta, El Madroñal and Los Flamingos villas, transparent polycarbonate all but disappears over the water. PVC remains the robust, economical choice.

It is not only about comfort. In summer the cover stops evaporation — critical with the heat and the water restrictions — holds the heat overnight, and acts as a physical safety barrier for children and pets, meeting the NF P90-308 standard. Yes. We install regularly in gated communities such as La Zagaleta, El Madroñal and Los Flamingos. We arrange access with security and the gatehouse in advance — vehicle registrations, working hours, site rules — and we work with complete discretion, coordinating with the guard or the estate manager.

My El Madroñal villa has an irregular infinity pool. Can you cover it?

Yes. Every cover is made to the real dimensions of your pool, never to a standard size. We work with infinity pools, overflow pools and irregular shapes, all of which are common in Benahavís. We come and measure in person and propose the motor and guide-rail solution that fits best.

Do you have a local team, or do you come from the Toledo factory?

We manufacture in Torrijos, Toledo, but we have our own base and crew on the Costa del Sol, in San Pedro de Alcántara, about ten to thirteen minutes from Benahavís. The survey, the installation and the after-sales service are all handled by our own team, never subcontracted.

Discretion matters to us. How do you handle privacy on a property like this?

The same way you would expect any trade working in La Zagaleta or El Madroñal to behave. We do not photograph properties without written permission, we do not publish addresses, our fitters are our own employees rather than a subcontracted crew, and we keep to the access route and hours the estate sets. Where a client prefers it, we sign a confidentiality agreement before starting.

We are not in Spain most of the year. Who supervises the work?

We do, and we report as we go. Measuring can be done with your property manager or caretaker present, the quotation and drawings go by email, and we send photographs at each stage so you can follow the job from abroad. We also handle the after-sales visits directly with whoever looks after the house.
